ABOUT
AB Leisure was established in 2020 by myself, Aaron Bower who has over 30 years of Experience within the leisure industry, alongside an extensive knowledge of the hospitality arena through working for over 20 years for one of the Premium Leading Hotel chains within the UK and which is also globally recognised.
At the age of 20, I became the youngest advanced Scuba instructor in the UK, and with this achievement went on to teach people of all levels, ages and abilities how to Scuba dive alongside a variety of other Water Sports.
I then started working for a market leading premium Hotel chain where I worked my way up the ranks from Lifeguard, Fitness Instructor/Trainer to the in-house Trainer / examiner for first aid / Pool lifeguard and pool plant operations. In turn this allowed me to teach the core courses for my own Leisure team / colleagues throughout the Hotel removing the need to use external regulatory bodies/training facilities.
During this time I then moved into the management side of the industry, whilst continuing to teach courses, I became Assistant Manager and a short time later appointed as Director of Leisure for a Country Club managing the company's flagship fitness property.
Within the organization I then moved to a Head Office role and my next appointment was Operational Standards Manager for 42 sites covering the whole of the UK, conducting Health & safety and operational audits for leisure and golf venues alongside creating and implementing industry leading operational standards across each venue.
At this time I also became the primary trainer for all 42 hotels and maintained compliance for all hotels with training requirements in first aid and Pool lifeguarding and pool plant operation.
Continuing with my career progression, and staying with the same organisation my next promotion was to UK Business Manager for Fitness, Golf & Spa for 3 clusters, where my primary role was to help and support all aspects of the business function alongside Health & Safety and Training standards, whilst maintaining the high achieving levels instilled and put in place by previous role through Annual Audits.
Fast forward to present day and I am using this wealth of knowledge gained over the past 30 years for AB Leisure to support all Industries with Leisure / Fitness Consultant and Training requirements with Health & Safety, First Aid and Pool Plant training.
